In the begining Shelby Callaway always knew he had a crazy passion for music, from the day he got excited about starting a band with his friends when he was 9 years old. That band never came to pass but since befor he can remember he has always been making up tunes in his head, playing with Ninja Turtles, and making up beats and theme songs to the ensuing action that was developing on the battlefront of his front porch!
In 9th grade Shelby got a cd-rw drive, and went nuts with it, he made a compilation cd and distributed it throughout the high school. (befor cd-rw drives were a common thing) he then decided he wanted to start making his own beats. Someone told him about Rebirth, he bought it and then disapeared into his bedroom for about a month. He slaved away and eventually produced his first indie album (which sold mabee 50 copies... tops...) at this point a few of his friends brought up an idea... "hey dude you should be a DJ!" This sentence echo'ed through his brain with vigor for the next 2 years. Over the next 2 years Shelby ended up picking up a pair of cdj-100's and a djm-300 mixer in which he practiced on as much as humanly possible. He spun a few school dances with the high school production company and became addicted to mixing. At this point he met a kid named Chris Jackson who helped fuel the fire to spin, chris had a pair of stanton str-8 tables, and a basic mixer, in which the two combined their setup to creat CAPTAIN PLA... no.. sorry... wrong bio.... anyway... they combined their equipment and became "trancending dimensions". This production company would go on and put on 3 raves which were an awesome success. This duo played many other shows befor they graduated and ended up going their seperate ways due to college. The summer of 2003 Shelby started spinning Tuesday nights at the Shady Lady Saloon with Four4 Productions. He also is now currently one of the three resident dj's including Mixmaster DJ Brian Babinec and THE MAN! DJ Coosh(john)on www.cyberwisdom.org and has spun for www.oneliferadio.com and a guest mix on www.etn.fm. Sign my Guestbook! Vote for me!
